Having been bowled over by the recent success of my joint campaign with fellow blogger Charlotte from The Home That Made Me, I thought it would be good to have some info readily accessible on the blog for you all to find out a little more about this growing platform.
Charlotte and I created the hashtag #RaisingThoseRascals to use on our social media as a means to combat some of the pressures we feel as parents in living up to an imaginary world of perfection that can seem rife in social media. Whilst we both have a real passion for entertaining our readers with thoughtful, inspired imagery, we know all too well that our lives are not always so seemingly spotless!
We both wanted to do something to encourage, support and empower our fellow parents out there to feel there was a safe and friendly platform where we could all meet with the joint interest of raising our children, through the good times and the not so good. This mission is about realism, it's about transparency and above all, it's about honesty and we want as many of you as possible to join in and spread the word.
Mama's none of us are perfect. None of our lives are as pretty as the delicate roses and neatly swept floors we love to post about. Sometimes it can be easy to fall into the trap of comparing ourselves to the next person; to the perceived reality of a few Instagram squares- quite forgetting that they only represent momentary snippets from another persons day.
Let's join together to raise our little rascals alongside each other! They drive us crazy at times, but it is sure worth it for all the joy motherhood brings!
Remember, each Monday Charlotte and I will be featuring our favourite posts from you on our blogs so do join in, we would love to see your beautiful families and the great job you're doing raising them!
Love Bunty
xXx
