Sunny Sundays work wonders for the soul, am I right? After Church this morning we came home to a blazing day that saw us throw open doors and windows and potter almost seamlessly between house and garden.
These are my favourite kinds of days: where the sun just seems to throw everybody into the best mood and the heat makes you slow up every so often and just become that bit more in tune with your surroundings. The hum of bees and the movement of birds perching in the trees- it makes me wonder why I don't take more time out to appreciate all the busy activity around me!
I recently teamed up with Dunelm for a social media post as part of their May Makeover campaign and I had the oppertunity to buy this rather sweet Bistro table and chairs set. Now, I don't know how many of these we must have been through since we got married but I think that's only testament to how much we love using them. I've always enjoyed a little table and chair set for perching at in the garden during the warmer seasons. I mean, hand me a mug of hot coffee and I could happily set up camp right here and watch the kids play all afternoon...
We've had the loveliest weekend and I feel so aware of actually pressing pause on the usual routines and simply going with the flow a bit more. We definitely need more of that in life- of being still and really paying attention to what's happening around us.
I hope you've had a blissful couple of days too- here's to pressing the pause button a little more deliberately, a little more often!
Love,
