With the weather serrriously warming up this week, I just couldn't help myself- out came the summer frocks from the depths of my wardrobe and I began sorting through the pieces I could wear this season. In doing this, I kinda realized this pattern emerging as far as my summer wardrobe goes; I seem to gravitate towards midi dresses like there's no tomorrow!
The midi-dress is definitely a failsafe and oh-so-chic way to dress up (or down!) and, not to mention, look ultra feminine too. I love button- through dresses and floral prints, especially for the way they nod towards bygone eras with a touch of vintage inspiration; so you can probably imagine when I laid eyes on this beautiful number from Sosandar, I fell hook line & sinker!
This dress is SO beautiful and especially so in the detailing; with silver buttons running the length, *the* most flattering sleeves and such a sweet floral pattern, for me it really has the word 'versatile' written all over it.
When the sun is out, I prefer to opt away from jeans and denim in favour of lighter fabrics anyway and so this dress has been such a great option especially for this past week! I've been pairing it with trainers for popping about town in and it looks really nice accessorised this way for a casual daytime look.
Casual though it may be, we all know a pair of shoes can transform an outfit and these suede heels from Sosandar are such lovely examples of how to dress up a shirt dress, perfect for a date night or occasion. I don't think it gets more classic than a black court heel for dressing up a look and this pair are going to see a lot of summer evenings!
The lace tie and the effortless shape also make them really comfortable to wear (tried and tested on Lincoln's Steep Hill people!)- I think they're among the comfiest heels I own and definitely a welcome addition to my summer '18 shoe collection!
I'm really excited to continue styling this duo and I'm pretty convinced you're gonna see me wearing them a LOT in the coming months too.
Sosandar have some absolutely stunning pieces in their collection, they're definitely worth a little peek if you happen to be on the hunt for some ultra beautiful style inspo!
