It has been so lovely to see snippets of sun breaking through the clouds as the long, cold and dark days of winter are finally almost behind us! Gone are the weeks of hibernating under layers of blankets as we have been enjoying spending time in our garden, drinking in those lovely aromas of fresh cut grass and blossoms.
When the warmer weather does arrive, I love nothing better than to spend my days outside in the fresh country air. With the buzzing sounds of nature all around and the warmth of the sun on your back, there’s nothing lovelier about finding every excuse to eat, drink and relax in the garden.
And there’s something to be said for the peace that descends over the household when we resolve to have the television switched off, especially as the children don’t ask for it when they’re not feeling cooped up inside. I think the radio is such a perfect alternative anyway, it can create a lovely ambience without demanding your full attention. I always have mine on first thing in the mornings as we begin our days. During the summer months it is such a treat to be able to have a radio playing in the garden to accompany our family antics. Whether picnicking or playing French cricket on the lawn, a little background music is such a perfect accompaniment to family fun!
I’ve been sneaking outside with this beautiful radio by View Quest in my recent attempts to glimpse spring- between the downpours! This is the Christie and this, friends, is an absolutely stunning vintage style radio.
I really feel with this design, View Quest have capitalised on creating something not only aesthetically appealing but also very practical and easy to use. Admittedly, I am in no way a 'dab hand' with anything technological but this is such a doddle to set up and very quickly allows you to get to the all important stage of choosing your station!
The Christie comes in a choice of colours ranging from pastel pinks and blues through to deep red, green and brown. With many more to choose from, there truly is a colour for everybody. I have to say though, I just love the baby blue. It’s so lovely for spring and summer and such a cheerful little thing to look at first thing in the morning.
