Yesterday, we arrived at our home for the next week here in Dorset. It is a beautiful big country farmhouse which could be picked straight out if a Jane Austin novel. Upon our arrival, the owners had a tea and homemade Victoria sponge laid out for us to devour! Heavenly! We all found our rooms and settled in for a nice welcome meal, ready to begin our week adventure.
Today has been a gorgeous day filled with summer garden games. We enjoyed a croquet tournament this evening which, to say the least, brought out the competitive spirit in all of us! Now, thoroughly exhausted from our day we are unwinding and chatting to each other about the week ahead. It's been really nice to strip back the TV, the internet and the phones and just hang out together. Tomorrow we have another very exciting day ahead, (more on that soon!) so I think I'm going to slip into a nice warm bath and head to bed to get my energy levels ready for tomorrow's main event!
