Today marks our second wedding anniversary and although I'm walking about feeling as though it's my birthday, I still have to pinch myself that we have seriously been married for two years now! Not only has the time flown by, but so much has changed since 2012!
As you probably know, we have had a little family getaway to London to mark the occasion and Eddy has thoroughly spoiled me with a few lovely gifts. Best of all though, we were able to spend the day together and reminisce about one of the most exciting days of our lives!
When we got married some advice we were given was to read our nuptial readings every anniversary, and so I thought it would be poignant to share one with you. I always feel they can speak to anyone, whether as a married person or not. There is such truth and beauty in them and I know they will remain relevant to us as long as we live...
Colossians, 3:12-17
'Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, and patience, forbearing one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as The Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as you teach and admonish in all wisdom, and as you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God.'
